That’s a myth. To keep your warranty valid, follow the specifications given by the manufacturer in your handy owner’s manual. At Ace Auto Care, we make it a point to follow the manufacturer’s maintenance schedule and ensure that your warranty remains valid.

Get your vehicle serviced at the specified intervals mentioned in the warranty booklet. Mark all the dates, parts installed, vehicle identification number, and mileage mentioned on the invoice. We recommend you to use a service log in the company’s manual or warranty booklet.

To keep your vehicle in good condition even if you have a leased one, it is important for you to go for all maintenance and repairs required and mentioned in the owner’s manual.

Some parts are manufactured by the same supplier and may have a longer warranty period than original equipments. Aftermarket parts supplied by CARQUEST have good quality and sometimes exceed manufacturers’ specifications.

A timing belt, is a part of an internal combustion engine that coordinate with the rotation of crankshaft and camshaft. Technically, a timing belt should be changed every 50,000-70,000 miles, however it differs for every make and model. For better understanding, check the company’s manual to determine the correct replacement interval.

Nowadays, brake systems are hydraulic and use hydrophilic brake fluid. It has the ability to absorb moisture from the air, which causes corrosion and brake components fail. It is recommended that Brake fluid should be flushed as scheduled in order to keep a tab on corrosion. Also, Brake fluid should be handled with care as it can melt other soft substances.

Antifreeze is a very toxic substance that works as coolant in vehicles. It is recommended to replace Antifreeze every two years as it oxidized and deteriorates the other important additives which are required to lubricate the water pump and protect metal parts from rust and oxidation. The engine’s thermostat should also be replaced every 2 years to keep the engine operating temperatures in the proper range.
